According to DEJI LAMBO, the passing of three-year-old Ifeanyi Adeleke, the son of well-known artist Davido, caused deep sorrow and drew condolence notes from Nigerians of all socioeconomic classes.

It appears that Ifeanyi Adeleke, the son of well-known musician Davido and his fiancée, Chioma Rowland, may have drowned in the swimming pool at his father’s home on the Banana Island region of Lagos State. If so, the police may perform an autopsy to ascertain this.

It is common procedure for the police to perform an autopsy in such a circumstance, according to a reliable source who confirmed the development. The source said that the police would abstain from the action if the departed family members objected, though.

“Though the family members are not saying anything yet because they are still in shock but until anybody says stop, the standard procedure is to conduct an autopsy and we are going to follow that procedure just like in any case of death,” the source said.

The cook and nanny, whose job it was to look after the wellbeing of the three-year-old boy, had been detained for reasons including failing to uphold the duty of care of the minor, the source further explained. Out of the eight domestic workers questioned by the police in relation to Ifeanyi’s death, the source said.

The source said, “It was the work of the nanny to take care of the child (Ifeanyi); the nanny was negligent or how could the boy have left the house without her knowledge?

“The boy left the house, walked to the back where the swimming pool is situated and fell into the swimming pool. Nobody noticed until much later. At that point in time, he had drowned and was at the bottom of the swimming pool.

“So, they brought him out and rushed him to the Lagoon Hospital, where the doctors tried unsuccessfully to revive him. They left the hospital and rushed the boy to Evercare Hospital, where he was declared dead.

“They have deposited his corpse in the mortuary for an autopsy to reveal the cause of death. All the domestic workers at home when the incident happened have been questioned by the police but only the nanny and cook were detained.”

When asked to confirm the two domestic employees’ incarceration, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, a spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command, stated, “I spoke with the DPO and he indicated the nanny and the chef had been held. Other housekeepers who had been detained for questioning were freed.

Closed-circuit television, according to Edward Ajogun, a former police commissioner in Ogun State, could assist shed further light on the circumstances surrounding Ifeanyi’s death.

“As a crime detection technology, where crime has happened, the CCTV will assist in giving an insight into how that particular crime happened and making it easier to determine who perpetrated that crime.”

When questioned further about the potential role that CCTV might play in the current investigation into the events leading up to Ifeanyi’s death at Davido’s house, Hundeyin responded, “CCTV will be evaluated if we locate any installed at his house.

Anaedoonline.ng discovered that the family members were in grief after hearing the news of Ifeanyi’s passing late on Monday.

Celebrities, politicians, supporters, and sympathizers who had been traumatized by the unfortunate development sent their condolences to Davido and Chioma, who had been inconsolable ever since the circumstances surrounding their son’s death became known to the world.

While grieving over the tragedy that befell the newlyweds, one Emeka Senator, Ifeanyi’s self-described foster brother to Davido, intimated in an Instagram post that an admonition about Ifeanyi’s death was ignored.

In a terse statement, he wrote, “The revelation was taken for granted. God, we are sorry.”

According to Anaedoonline.ng, Samuel King, a prophet, predicted the death of Davido’s son in a Facebook post on January 7, 2022, with the hashtag “Global Prophecy.”

Following the tragic development that claimed Ifeanyi’s life, the prophet, in a trending video on Tuesday, said he would reach out to Davido on how to pray to avert further tragedies.

“I’ll try my best to reach out to the family and give you the last clue and tell you how you should pray about this,” he said.
