Autopsy Reveals What Killed Davido’s son, Ifeanyi

According to the Lagos State Police Command, the postmortem on the body of Ifeanyi Adeleke, son of Davido and his fiancée, Chioma Rowland, revealed that he drowned.

In an interview with our correspondent, Benjamin Hundeyin, the state Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the development.

“The autopsy has been completed,” Hundeyin stated. It confirms the drowning of the youngster (Ifeanyi).”

According to Anaedoonline.ng, there are signs that the police may conduct an autopsy to ascertain whether Ifeanyi died as a result of drowning in a swimming pool at his father’s property in Lagos State’s Banana Island neighborhood.

An unbiased source verified the situation, saying it was common procedure for the police to conduct an autopsy in such a scenario, but that the police would back down if the deceased family members objected.

“Though the family members are not saying anything yet because they are still in shock but until anybody says stop, the standard procedure is to conduct an autopsy and we are going to follow that procedure just like in any case of death,” the source said.

The source went on to say that, of the eight domestic employees examined by police in connection with Ifeanyi’s death, the chef and nanny, whose job it was to look after the three-year-old youngster, had been held for reasons including failing to uphold the minor’s duty of care.

The nanny and cook were claimed to be still in detention at the time of reporting this report.
