Mr. Ejikeme Omeje, the APC’s candidate for the House of Representatives in the Nsukka/Igbo-Eze South, Enugu Federal Constituency, passed away in a car accident on Tuesday morning.
Omeje, a key APC official in the Enugu North Senatorial district and a pharmacist, passed away on the Eden Ani/Nsukka route close to the El-Rina hotel in Nsukka.
Eyewitnesses told our correspondent that the accident happened while he was returning from the town of Edem-Ani after attending a political meeting, despite the fact that police or the Federal Road Safety Corps have not formally confirmed the event.

It was gathered that he was driving alone along Erina-Edem Ani road when he suddenly lost control and his car entered inside bush where the car hit a tree on the process.
An eyewitness who gave his name as Okechukwu Ezeme told our Correspondent that Omeje was rushed to a hospital where he died early due to serious injuries he sustained in the head.
