Anambra state Governor Chukwuma Soludo has announced that over 5000 teachers will receive letters of employment in the coming days. He made the announcement during a Channels TV interview on Thursday.
He said, “we would be handing out letters of employment to more than five thousand teachers in a bid to end the era of schools without teachers, we would also be having over 240 additional doctors to man the general hospitals, if you examine the five finger approach of our budget, the design we gave to our budget is to ensure that our eyes remains on the ball”.

Remember that only about 6000 of the 31,000 individuals who took the online teacher recruitment exam were able to pass the exam.
Soludo had already ordered the mass recruitment of teachers for both primary and secondary schools, despite the fact that his administration had only been in office for two months. According to Mr Paul Nwosu, the state Commissioner for Information, just 6,250 teachers passed the Computer Based Test.
