Hon. Engr. Sir Christian Eze Obiorah, Transition Committee Chairman (TCC), Engr. Christian Eze Obiora of Nnewi North Local Government Area, Anambra State, has congratulated Nigeria’s first female governor, Dame Virgy Ngozi Etiaba, on her 80th birthday.

In a signed note sent to Anaedoonline.ng, the Chairman described Dame Virgy Etiaba as a Goal-getter and a woman of substance.

Engr Obiorah, however revealed his happiness for sharing same origin with the erudite educationist and former Governor of Anambra State.

His words; ” I feel elated of my origin. I am a proud son of the soil. Nnewi is a great town having birthed great Nationalists, successful businessman and women, great educationists “.

“Dame Virgy Ngozi Etiaba is one of the greatest gifts from Nnewi. She is an embodiment of virtue, class, intellectual. In fact, she is simply a woman of honor”.

Hon. Obiorah prayed for an eventful and colourful birthday for Dame Virgy Ngozi Etiaba who clocked 80 on Friday 11th, 2022.

Meanwhile, Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR greeted former Anambra State and Nigeria’s first female governor, Dame Virgy Etiaba CON, on her 80th birthday celebration on Friday 11th November 2022, and shared the delight of the momentous occasion with the famous educationist’s family and friends.

President Buhari’s statement, as conveyed by his media spokesman, Femi Adesina, rejoiced with the former Governor and Deputy Governor of Anambra State, whose labor of love in the educational sector will always be remembered, working as a teacher for 35 years before retiring to establish the equally renowned Bennet Etiaba Memorial Schools, in honor of her late husband BMC Etiaba Esq., who died in June 20.
