In Ebonyi State, fourteen (14) executive members of the Labour Party, LP, including the State Secretary, have defected to the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP.
Anaedoonline.ng has learned that LP members are dissatisfied with how the party is being administered in the state.
It was also learned that during his one-day campaign visit to the state, NNPP Presidential candidate Musa Kwankwaso met with former LP State exco members.

The NNPP Gubernatorial candidate in Ebonyi State, Prophet Chris Adol-Awam, made this known while addressing the party’s national leadership, alongside the party’s presidential candidate, Musa Kwankwaso, at a town hall meeting held at the Genezer hotel, located along Onwe Road Abakaliki, the state capital.
According to him: “we are very proud of the NNPP Presidential candidate, Kwankwaso. And, we believe that he will win the forthcoming general election as the next President of Nigeria. He has the capacity to transform Nigeria.
“The members of the Labour Party are here with us and they want to work with us. The secretary, youths and women leaders have identified with us, not as spectators but as trusted and reliable members.”
Similarly, the NNPP’s gubernatorial candidate, Adol-Awam, inaugurated the Party’s campaign council in the state.
