Wike, Other ‘Angry’ PDP Governor’s Agitation To Be Resolved Soon – Atiku

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar’s camp has voiced optimism that the party’s crisis will be resolved before the 2023 election.

Dele Momodu, the Director of Strategic Communication for the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, PCC, stated that the G-5 governors’ agitation would be resolved shortly.

The G-5 governors are Rivers State’s Nyesom Wike, Benue State’s Samuel Ortom, Oyo State’s Seyi Makinde, Abia State’s Okezie Ikpeazu, and Enugu State’s Ifeanyi Ugwanyi.

The governors led by Wike have demanded that Iyorchia Ayu resign as PDP National Chairman.

They stated that the North is unable to deliver the PDP’s presidential candidate and National Chairman.

However, there are reports that former President Goodluck Jonathan has been sought to reconcile all of the party’s disgruntled members.

Momodu told journalists in Abuja on Thursday that Atiku’s camp is ready and willing to reconcile with the governors.

Momodu said: “We’ve been at it for some time trying to see how we can bring everybody under the same umbrella.

“So hopefully, in the next couple of days and weeks, all of us will be able to work as one family. PDP is the biggest political family in Africa, and we want it to remain so.”
