The Caretaker Committee of Nnewi Youth Forum has disqualified Engr. Peter Chigozie Obinwa from contesting for Nnewi Youth Forum Presidency.
Anaedoonline.ng learnt that Engr. Peter Obinwa who is the Operation and Sales Manager of Chartered Aluminum Systems Limited was disqualified due to the fact that he was still holding the position as Chairman of Abubor Nnewichi Youth Vanguard.
He was disqualified in pursuant to Section 10 (2) of the Constitution of Nnewi Youth Forum which states that “Aspirant to the office of the President of Nnewi Youth Forum “MUST” not hold any political office” of any form” otherwise show a letter of resignation from such office before contesting for the President.

Although, the camp of Peter Obinwa is still insisting that they will contest the election, our correspondent learnt that all security apparatus have been mobilized to avoid breakdown of order at the election venue tomorrow.
The result of the screening exercise which was released late Friday night showed that Hon. Ejim Emmanuel Ucheagwu popularly known as Bishop, Prince Tony Nwachukwu Ezenwa (Onowo), and Udegbunam Chibunna Onyebuchi received the nod of the committee to proceed with their aspirations.
It is being speculated that Peter Obinwa was the preferred Candidate of one of the Anambra South Senatorial candidates that hails from Nnewi.
