Zik Lecture: Okowa, Ozekhome, Ukiwe, Others Storm UNIZIK

The 11th Zik Lecture Series, titled Nigeria in the Throes of Insecurity Towards 2023, is all set.

The lecture series initiative was conceived in 2006 by distinguished Senator Dr Ben Ndi Obi CON, FNIPR to immortalize the good works of Nigeria’s foremost nationalist, statesman, and pan-Africanist, the inimitable, Rt. Hon, His Excellency, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Nigeria’s First President, and the country’s first Indigenous Governor-General.

The main purpose of the Lecture series is to serve as a catalyst for generating intellectual engagement on crucial issues confronting Nigeria, Africa, the black man, and mankind in order to permanently imprint Zik’s principles and contributions to national and African development in our minds.

Zik: Anambra Declares November 16th As Public Holiday

Under the presidency of His Excellency, Governor Ifeanyi A. Okowa, CON, Executive Governor of Delta State, the guest lecturer for the 11th lecture is a leading constitutional lawyer and human rights activist, Chief (DR) Mike Ozekhome, SAN, CON, OFR.

The planned Chief Guests of Honour are His Excellency, former Chief of General Staff, Commodore Ebitu Ukiwe, GCON, and Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, executive Governor of Anambra.

The ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at 10 a.m. at the ASUU secretariat, UNIZIK, Awka.
