According to Anaedoonline.ng, at least one person was killed in the Awka cult shooting on Saturday morning.
Earlier, gunshots were reported on Ziks Avenue in Awka, where opposing cult groups were said to have clashed.
Further investigation revealed that a member of one of the cult groups who was abducted by a rival group was later discovered dead in a separate place.

Three people were also claimed to have been arrested in connection with the cult clash by Nigeria Police Force operatives.
DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, the state command’s spokesperson, verified this to our correspondent and stated that the operation was still ongoing at the time of filing this report.
Ikenga said: “One person was whisked away and later his lifeless body was found along Abba/Ifitedunu Road. Meanwhile, we have three suspects in custody, and operation is still ongoing.”
