2023: Atiku Opens Up On Why He May Not Use Nigerian Hospitals If Elected President

Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, has stated that if elected, he will not use Nigeria’s healthcare system.

Atiku stated that health care facilities suitable for his needs may not be accessible in Nigeria.

At the Arise TV Townhall debate, Atiku lamented the limitations of Nigeria’s healthcare system.

The former Vice President was asked if, as President, he would use Nigerian medical facilities to reduce the use of foreign hospitals.

He said: “We have limitations; we know we have those limitations, health facilities that cater to my health may not be available.”

Atiku lives in Dubai and visits Nigeria only for important holidays and political events.
