The presiding judge, Justice Juan Merchan, set the judgment date for January 13 in state court in New York.

Mr Trump personally signed the bonus checks each year, paid for Allen Weisselberg’s grandchildren’s private school tuition, approved the lease for his luxurious Manhattan house, and allowed a salary deduction for another employee, according to testimony heard during the four-week trial.
Mr. Weisselberg, 75, a former chief financial officer, testified as part of a plea agreement that asked for a five-month prison sentence.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who handled the prosecution, called the verdict “very just.”
If proven guilty of all accusations, including scheming to defraud tax authorities, falsifying business records, and more, the company may face a $1.6 million penalties.
The conviction may make it more difficult for the Trump Organization to conduct business, even if the fine is unlikely to be large for a company of its size.

The Trump Organization’s attorney, Alan Futerfas, announced that the company would appeal the decision.
