Abdul-Azeez Adediran, also known as Jandor, the Peoples Democratic Party’s governorship candidate in Lagos State, has stated that the 2023 governorship race in the state will defy stereotypes.

Adediran, who stated this in an Instagram post, went on to say that the upcoming election cycle will be different, ushering in a “new era” in Lagos State.

The governorship candidate also revealed that he and the PDP House of Representatives candidate for Eti-Osa Federal Constituency, Bankole Wellington, also known as Banky W, met with the Christian Association of Nigeria, Lagos State Chapter, to discuss their plans for the future of Lagos State, particularly religious freedom.

Adediran, who lauded the religious body for their interest in the elections, urged CAN to “use their influence to push for progressive leadership” in the state.
Adediran said, “I met with the Christian Association of Nigeria executives in Lagos. I was accompanied by Bankole Wellington, our PDP House of Reps candidate for Eti-Osa Federal Constituency. Banky W as he is fondly known in entertainment circles, is a much loved leader in the Christian community in Lagos, and his nomination is seen as a shift in the right direction.
“We went to discuss our plans for the future of Lagos and share with the representatives our vision for the future of our great state as it regards the protection of religious freedoms.

“I am reassured that this election cycle will defy all the stereotypes that have defined elections in the past and we will finally be ushered into an era of peace and economic prosperity for Lagosians.

“May our prayers to God turn for supplications for relief from injustice and manufactured poverty to thansgiving for promises fulfilled,” he concluded.
