Akwa Ibom Rally: Peter Obi Meets With Students, Promises Them A Thriving Environment

In Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State, Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi visited with college students on Tuesday.

Invoking some of the biggest internet businesses, like Facebook and Google, which were founded by students, Obi, who enjoys strong support from young people, claims that his administration will foster a climate that will allow them to flourish.

The former governor of Anambra, who would speak at a rally in the South-South state, informed the crowd that his administration had then fostered a prosperous atmosphere for businesses like Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing and others.

If he becomes Nigeria’s president the following year, he is proposing loans and grants for small and medium-sized enterprises established by students in order to provide room for such a feat.
This will be a top priority, Obi said will be a priority to his government

No graduate should be jobless, according to Obi, with young unemployment reaching 55.4 percent, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
He stated that as a result, he also acts as an employer.

Obi claimed that technology is the future when it comes to the conflict between polytechnic and university education. According to him, polytechnic institutions will play a key role in producing the technical graduates who will spearhead the nation’s technological growth.
