Nigerian comedian Bright Okpocha, well known by his stage moniker Basketmouth, ended his 12-year marriage to wife Elsie and has asked his fans to respect their privacy.
On Thursday, the 44-year-old comedian announced the dissolution of his marriage to Elsie in a post on his Facebook page.
Janelle, Jason, and Maya Okpocha are the couple’s three children; they were married in 2010.
When announcing their separation, Basketmouth stated that they would continue to raise their lovely children with all of their love, care, and guidance.
He wrote, “As much as it pains me to bring my personnel life to the public space, this is an unavoidable situation.

“After much deliberations, my wife and I have made the difficult decision to end our marriage.
“As we move forward separately, we will continue to work together to give our beautiful children all the care, love guidance and support they need.
