Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu has ordered the immediate dissolution of all 17 Local Government Area Chairmen, their Deputies, and Councillors in Abia State.
This was due to the end of their tenure, according to a statement issued by Secretary to the State Government Chris Ezem.
The officials of the disbanded Council were elected to a two-year term ending in December 2020.
Gov. Ikpeazu praised them for their contributions and wished them success in their future endeavours.
The Governor further instructed them to turn over to the Head of Service of their respective Councils.
