The foremost Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, has urged the public to ignore the rumour that Professor George Obiozor, its president general, had died.
The rumour was false and unsupported, Dr. Kingsley Dozie, vice president general of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, told ANAEDOONLINE.NG in Umuahia.
Dr. Dozie stated that if anything were to happen to the Ohanaeze President General, the family would not think twice about informing the public.

He claimed that as soon as he learned about the rumour, he immediately got in touch with an Ohanaeze helmsman’s family member, who assured him that the rumour was false in all respects.
Dozie advised people against spreading falsehood.
