Former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, has congratulated former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on his victory in the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential primary poll.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, Atiku beat all other candidates in the primary poll conducted at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Saturday by a large majority.
Atiku will now be the PDP’s official presidential contender in Nigeria’s 2023 presidential election.

Atiku was declared the victor of the primary election by David Mark, the Chairman of the PDP electoral committee for the primaries.
Peter Obi reacted to the news by congratulating the former Vice President on his election as the PDP presidential flagbearer in 2023 through his verified Twitter profile on Sunday.
He wrote; “On behalf of my family, I sincerely congratulate my leader and dear elder brother, H.E
@atiku, on his emergence as the 2023 presidential flag bearer of the @OfficialPDPNig. I pray that the Almighty God who sees your goodness will continue to bless you now and always. -PO”
