Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, a Nigerian filmmaker and the originator of the African Movie Academy Awards, has died.
She died in a hospital in Lagos State, according to sources.
Ayiam-Osigwe, the President of the Association of Movie Producers, was apparently in a coma when she died.
Obi Emelonye, a colleague, reported her death on Tuesday via his Instagram account.
He shared her picture and wrote, “Thank you and good night dada Peace. 🕯🕯🕯🕯”
