Last Friday, the officer was freed so he could go to his Long Course program.

Ozuowa and other others were ambushed in Onitsha’s Upper Iweka neighborhood, according to a military official.

“Own Quick Response Force (QRF) was deployed immediately. Efforts are ongoing to rescue the officer”, the source told Newsmen.

At the time of the incident, Slt Bomadi, the Base Operations Officer of Naval Outpost (NOP) Onitsha, received a distress message from Ozuowa.
