A government spokeswoman said on Monday that Burkina Faso has announced it is asking France to withdraw its troops from the nation within a month.
“The arrangement that permits French military to be in Burkina Faso is being terminated. The severance of diplomatic ties between Burkina Faso and France has not occurred, according to spokesman Jean-Emmanuel Ouedraogo, speaking to Radio-Television Burkina.
