Hajia Naja’atu Mohammed, a former member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), has revealed the position of the party’s flag bearer, Bola Tinubu, on the subject of insecurity in the country’s north.

According to her, Tinubu previously told her at a meeting in the north that he had no plan or idea how to address the instability that has ravaged most northern states.

Naja’atu, who recently quit as the APC campaign organization’s civil society director, claimed that Tinubu told her during the meeting that finding a solution to the insecurity problem would involve stomping on multiple toes and may lead to his death.

“Having a blueprint for tackling insecurity in the North would mean I will be stepping on so many toes.

“He has been urging me to take the appointment and I refused.”

Meanwhile, Naja’atu previously alleged that some northerners are conspiring to make Kashim Shettima president if APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu falls incapacitated.

She told This Day that certain northerners supporting Tinubu to pursue his presidential ambitions do so so that his running partner can take his position if his health fails.

She added, “Some people from Maiduguri called me today (Monday) asking, ‘Hajia, why did you do this? You have now punctured our interest. Our son is going to be president, and you’re talking like that? After all, look at Tinubu; he cannot do it. We’re all for Kashim. You have not done well for us.”
