Festus Keyamo, the chief spokesperson for Tinubu’s presidential campaign, has announced that there is widespread rebellion in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the 2023 elections.

He claimed in a statement issued on Monday that the PDP’s callous choice to disregard the zoning scheme when selecting its presidential candidate for 2023 has generated major splits within the party.

Keyamo stated that even though many people are not expressing their feelings, the effects would be visible during the February 25 presidential election.

The APC chieftain, on the other hand, praised Senator Chimaroke Nnamani, a PDP chieftain who openly supports the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

According to Keyamo, “This is the widespread rebellion within the PDP because of its insensitivity to the zoning arrangement in the country between the North and the South. Many more are not expressing it openly like this, but the results will show on February 25th! Daalu, Senator Nnamani. My respect.”

Chimaroke Nnamani, according to news reports, has stated his reasons for supporting the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

Nnamani, along with other Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftains in Ekiti and Imo states, was suspended from the party for suspected anti-party activities.

Following that, the PDP chieftain’s posters with Tinubu and various slogans were spotted online, indicating his entire support for the APC flag bearer.

Nnamani stated his support for Tinubu by claiming that the PDP had violated its constitution by denying the South the right to contest for president.

The PDP constitution, he claims, requires major political roles to be cycled between the North and South to maintain equity, justice, and fairness.
