Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s nominee for president, has pleaded with Nigerians to hold him accountable if, if elected, he breaks his campaign commitments.

He made the point that the general election in 2023 would provide ordinary Nigerians the chance to reclaim their nation and turn it from one of consumption to one of production.

On Friday, Obi addressed a town hall gathering of locals in Umuahia, the capital of Abia State.

He made the point that saving Nigeria from its current state of degradation was a challenging task, but one that could be accomplished with the assistance of those who desired a new Nigeria.

Obi, while soliciting for votes, told his audience that previous political parties that led Nigeria pushed her into insecurity, poverty industrial actions, hunger and suffering.
He said, “The 2023 election is not about, ethnicity, tribalism or religion.
