The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) provoked outrage after uploading a video clip of a sugarcane salesman attending to his clients using a Point of Sales (POS) equipment on its official Twitter account.
According to newsmen, the occurrence occurred amid the difficulty of transactions caused by the lack of new naira notes across the country.
Remember that the CBN set February 10, 2023 as the cutoff for the acceptance of old N1000, N500, and N200 notes. The apex bank had previously designated January 31st as the deadline, but it was later postponed due to public outrage.

In many publications, the CBN has asked citizens to visit POS operators and money changers to exchange their naira notes before the new deadline. Following that, it directed commercial banks to begin issuing new naira notes on the open market.
On Thursday evening, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) posted a video clip with the caption: “There are no limits to going cashless.”
The post has elicited replies on social media, according to newsmen.
