The Presentation Of The Various Candidates Vying For House Of Representative Nnewi North, Nnewi South & Ekwusigo Federal Constituency Election At The Nzuko-ora Nnewi Meeting Held On 5th Feb. 2023.
1. Hon. Nonso Smart Okafor(APC):
A) Presents stewardship of representation as a sitting House member by listing his constituency project & motions.
B) Explains his “ROLE” ( Representation, Oversight, Legislation & Empowerment) kind of representation which he intends.
C) He also explains that he has already been a member of APC before the governor eulogized him at Igwe Nnewi as the most pro-active legislation, promising that he has learnt the job at the State Assembly and will now consolidate at the National Assembly.
2. Hon. Uchenna Elodimuo (APGA):
A) Introduces himself as a young man from Ozubulu.
B) Advices that Ndi Nnewi should do a background check before voting any of the candidate.
C) Speaks on zoning and why is the turn of Ekwusigo and how FOND had a gentleman agreement, though not written nor signed, but rather on equity and fairness.
3. Hon. Joel Ndubueze Ezeani (PDP)
A) Introduces himself from Ezinifite with the explanation that Ezinifite and Nnewi are bound together as his Igwe has served Igwe KON Orizu deligently as his Secretary then.

B) Explains the issue of zoning that those contesting from Ekwusigo lamenting zoning, should know that candidates from Ekwusigo has contested all the past House Of Reps elections in our federal constituency.
C) Says he is here to partner with Ndi Nnewi for the election with the promise of pension to all the old people in Nnewi.
D) Declares his preparedness to learn politicking as a first time politician with the people.
4. Hon. Peter Uzokwe (YPP):
A) Declares that he is not contesting on zoning principle.
B). Says it’s time for Nnewi to produce governor.
C) presents stewardship of his performance as President general of Ozubulu to Ndi Nnewi.
D) Promises to deliver if elected, just as he delivered as President general of his town.

5. Hon. Emeka Anagwu (LP):
A) Introduces himself as from Nnewi South and Vying under Labour party.
B) Says that people should vote in those that are qualified and knows the job.
C) Says that if he is elected that each quarter from Nnewi will give him 50 youths each every year for empowerment in Abuja.
*My Commentary:* In my own understanding, All the candidates showed great confidence during the presentation, but only Hon. Smart Okafor mentioned his manifesto and how he intends representing our constituency through what he tagged as “Role”.
However, I do not understand why the various candidates especially those contesting elections for the first time, decided not to tell us there occupations before joining politics and their qualifications which was suppose to help Ndi Nnewi make an informed choice as we proceed to elections in two to three weeks time.
