The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has assured Nigerians once more that the next election will be free and fair.

It was announced in a post shared on the electoral body’s verified Twitter page that electorates would be able to view election results as soon as voting concluded.

The INEC Result View Portal, according to the commission, would allow users to view the results in real time (IREV).

INEC established this to let Nigerians perceive transparency in the collation of election results.

The body explained that the portal can be accessed by visiting www.inecelectionresults.ng to view election.

The post read, “A transparent election process helps to ensure that the will of the people is accurately reflected. This is why the Commission has resolved to use the IReV portal to upload the Polling Unit results in real-time for the #NigeriaDecides2023 election.”

INEC stated that when Election Day approaches, Nigerians would be able to check the results of each polling unit, and that the IREV will ensure that misinformation from fake news portals on the Internet is greatly decreased.

The electoral board stated that it would strengthen the election administration process and increase the transparency of the system.

INEC added, “Nigerians can be part of the entire election process; your vote counts, use it wisely.”
