In a viral Memo going viral on social media, the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has directed its members across the country to embark on an indefinite strike.

The organization has accused the NNPC and NUPENG of working against them in getting petrol cheap, hence throwing some filling stations out of business.

The memo dated 6th of February 2023 was signed by its Chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Kuluwu and directed to all petroleum marketer.

Here are some of the write up:  “Following the critical situation as it affect our sourcing and selling of product at lost and the action of the authority to impose the selling of product at a lost price on our side”.

“You are hereby  directed to suspend selling at all filling stations and also suspend payment of ordering products from source until farther notice”

The petrol has been a scarce commodity across Nigeria and has been sold at a very high price to Nigerians, thereby causing high cost of living across the country.
