Addressing the supporters, the North East Coordinator of the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council, Hajiya Hauwa, begged them not to be disappointed by the campaign’s postponement.

Meanwhile, during an appearance on Channels Television on Tuesday, Baba-Ahmed promised that if his party is elected in the upcoming presidential election, it will “fix” the “scam” of petrol subsidies.

According to news reports, Nigeria has spent N2.04 trillion to offset subsidy payments in seven months, despite intentions to spend N6 trillion on subsidies by 2023.

When asked how the Labour Party plans to raise cash to run the country if elected, Datti Baba-Ahmed indicated the party would discontinue paying the petrol subsidy.
