Abia State Govt React Over Planned Coronation Of Emir of Aba

The Ikpeazu administration asked law enforcement to intervene quickly to prevent the event from disrupting Aba and the state’s peace.

The government stated in a statement on Thursday that it was drawn to the coronation plot and urged “anyone involved in this unlawful and illegal coronation to desist forthwith or face the full weight” of the law.

“Government hereby directs the immediate cancellation of the proposed illegal coronation as there is nothing like Aba Emirate Council in the state. The government further warned all residents in the state, especially those in Aba, to be law-abiding,” the Abia government explained.
