A letter purportedly resigning Manir Dan Iya, deputy governor of Sokoto State, from the Peoples Democratic Party has leaked online, eliciting comments.
The deputy governor thanked the party for the opportunity to serve in an unconfirmed letter dated February 8 addressed to the Ward Chairman, Kware Ward, Kware Local Government.
“I write to advise you of my withdrawal from the People’s Democratic Party, effective February 8, 2023,” the letter stated.
“I am grateful for the opportunity that have allowed me to serve in various ways within the PDP,” the letter states.
