Bishop David Oyedepo of Living Faith Church has proposed a three-day fast and prayer to ask God’s intervention for a peaceful and credible presidential election in February.

According to a circular obtained by our correspondent, the exercise, which is set to begin on Monday, February 13, is intended to pray against forces that may attempt to corrupt the election.

The Salvation Ministry’s David Ibiyomie and other ministries formed by Oyedepo’s spiritual sons are expected to participate in the exercise, according to the circular.

Dr Paul Enenche, Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Center, DIGC, shared the information with members of his congregation on Sunday while leading the congregation in prayer for a better Nigeria.

The fiery man of God decried how the two major political parties overlooked various categories of Nigerians when choosing their flag bearers in a charge that followed the national prayer.

He claimed that the All Progressives Congress, APC, ignored the Christian community by fielding a Muslim-Muslim ticket despite the fact that the North has a big number of Christian MPs.

The man of God also chastised the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) choice to hand over the presidential ticket to another northerner after the area had dominated for eight years.
