2023 Elections: I Will Resurrect Dead Industries In Nnewi – Peter Obi

On February 14th, 2023, the people of Nnewi welcomed Peter Obi and the Labour Party PCC to Nkwo Nnewi in support of his political campaign for the next presidential elections, which is set to take place countrywide on February 25th, 2023.

Among the dignitaries in attendance were men and women of political caliber who are supporters of the Labour party within the eastern region and Nigeria as a whole. Also in attendance were politicians under the umbrella of the Labour Party vying for political positions at the state and federal levels. Some of these includes Aishatu Yesufu, Valentine Ozigbo, Clement Ojukwu (Gbazuoagu), Innocent Chukwuma, Fredrick Anagwu among others. These political aspirants were given ample opportunities and each presented their political mandates to the crowd with promises of being the best candidate for the position.

Speaking at the campaign ground, Aishau Yesufu stressed that “voting for Labour Party (Peter Obi) would bring the ruling power back to the people who would determine how the country should be run, making the Nigerian people the winners of the 2023 elections”.

Furthermore, addressing the electorates and all present Peter Obi reminded the people about the current situation of Nigeria as a country which “has so far produced insecurity, poverty, hunger and fuel scarcity”. Also, “in 2012 the number of poor people living in Nigeria was 16million now it is 100 million”. All of which he instituted are the result of the wrong choice of leaders/bad governance.

The Presidential frontrunner went on to remind the people about his antecedents especially as the former governor of Anambra State as he explained that “during his time as governor, he tackled the issue of bank robbery in Anambra, paid all dues as at when due before my hand over to the next governor”.

He promised to open up all closed industries in Nnewi and turn the town to a land where businesses and industries will become functional again. He thanked all present for their love and support towards him and the Labour Party and concluded saying that “ we want Nigerians to be proud of being Nigerians”.
