2023: Tinubu’s In-Law, Tee Mac Reveals Why He’s Supporting Peter Obi

Tee Mac, the in-law of All Progressives Congress presidential candidate Bola Tinubu, has stated why he is supporting Labour Party (LP) flagbearer Peter Obi.

Tee Mac recently recounted in an interview with Pat Utomi and Onyeka Onwenu how Obi was there for the family of a popular singer, Christy Essien-Igbokwe, when she died.

The Nigerian flautist revealed that he received a call from Obi, who was the Governor of Anambra State at the time, asking him to be a part of her funeral arrangements.

Support For Obi Is Not Based On Political Beliefs – LP PCC

Obi sent a private jet to pick up her body and other people involved in the burial arrangements, and he also stayed with them for three days.

According to Tee Mac, the LP presidential candidate at the time provided ten plots of land and ten million dollars.

Tee Mac also emphasised Obi’s simplicity at the occasion, noting that while governor, he only wore two suits (brown and black).

He expressed surprise that a Governor could be so plain and not have clothing collections in his closet.

Tinubu’s in-law stated that he has never met somebody as down-to-earth and supportive of the entertainment industry as Obi.

Tee Mac stated that Nigerians require a president like him who will work hard to make things work in the country.

The flutist made the statement just days after being spotted in Obi’s presidential campaign which was held in Lagos.
