With less than a week until the 2023 general election, five of Nigeria’s 18 political parties have endorsed the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
The five parties made the announcement at the grand finale of the PDP’s presidential rally on Saturday at the Mahmud Ribadu Square in Yola, Adamawa State’s capital.
The parties are the African Democratic Congress, the Allied Peoples Movement, the National Rescue Movement, the Action Alliance, and the Action Peoples Party.

Yusuf Dantalle, National Chairman of the APM, issued the declaration on behalf of the parties.
The APM’s National Chairman had on Friday adopted Atiku’s candidacy in place of the only female presidential candidate of the APM, in the 2023 presidential race, Chichi Ojei.
