Timipre Sylva, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, has entered the Bayelsa State governorship contest.
According to news sources, the Minister’s associates have acquired the ruling All Progressives Party (APC) candidacy and expression of interest forms for the November 11, 2023 Bayelsa governorship election.

According to reports, a group of friends invaded the ruling APC’s National Secretariat in Abuja on Monday to select the nomination form in honor of the Minister from the Directorate of Organization at the APC National Secretariat.
Sylvia, who served as Governor of Bayelsa from 2008 to 2012, was nominated by President Muhammadu Buhari as Minister of State for Petroleum Resources in 2019.
