Kenneth Okonkwo, a spokesperson for the Labour Party (LP) Presidential Campaign Committee (PCC), has claimed that arrangements are in the works for both Senate President Ahmed Lawan and House of Representatives Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila to return to their roles.

According to him, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is already planning how the two can keep their jobs if the party wins the election on Saturday.

The Labour Party boss argued that the APC is a religious party; otherwise, why would they want to keep these two when all of their top posts are occupied by Muslims?

According to Newsmen, the renowned actor made the accusation when appearing on Channels Television 2023 Verdict on Thursday.

He stated that Nigeria is a multi-religious country with laws that emphasize fairness, implying that religion must be considered in politics and government.

He pointed out that the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, his running partner, Kashim Shettima, and other high-ranking officials are Muslims.

Election And Not War, Religious Leaders Tells Nigerians

“The APC chairman (Abdullahi Adamu) is Muslim, the Senate President (Ahmad Lawan) is Muslim, and the House of Representatives Speaker (Femi Gbajabiamila) is Muslim.

“The Deputy Speaker (Ahmed Wase) is Muslim. APC is a religious party, they are religious. This is a multi-religious country,” he added.
