2023 NIgerian Decides: Oshiomhole Wins Polling Unit

Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senate candidate in Edo North, has won his polling unit.

According to the Independent National Election Commission, INEC, Oshiomhole received 479 votes, beating his closest challenger and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Sen. Francis Alimikhena, who received 39 votes, and the Labour Party candidate, who received 5 votes.

The former Edo State governor had previously expressed dissatisfaction with the late arrival of voting materials in the Etsako Federal Constituency.

Labour Party Blasts Oshiomhole For Attack On Peter Obi Over Security

The former APC National Chairman stated that if all of the materials are not made available, the electorate has committed not to vote.

He said, “INEC rule is that where an election could not take place because of their own fault, it has to be repeated either the following day or another assigned for it. So, they cannot get away with it, we are ready for a long distance run.”
