Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has requested that the results of polling locations where the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) was not implemented be annulled.

Obasanjo also demanded that results not uploaded to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) system be rejected.

Obasanjo stated this in a letter to President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, when commenting about the presidential election on Saturday.

“Whereas, BVAS and Servers have been manipulated or rendered inactive, such results must be declared void and inadmissible for election declaration,” Obasanjo told Buhari and the Chairman of INEC, Mahmood Yakubu.

The Balogun Owu warned Buhari that tensions are rising across the country and that elections that were not credible should be discarded and re-conducted on Saturday.

”Your Excellency, let all elections that do not pass the credibility and transparency test be cancelled and be brought back with areas where elections were disrupted for next Saturday, March 4, 2023, and BVAS and Server officials be changed.”

The former President suggested that an INEC staff committee be formed with representatives from the four major political parties to determine which polling stations or polling units were rigged.
