Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has reacted to President-elect Bola Tinubu’s victory in Saturday’s election.
Fayose congratulated Tinubu on his election as Nigeria’s next president.
In a tweet, Fayose encouraged the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar to accept the decision of the election.
Stressing that there is always another day, Fayose said Atiku should accept defeat in the interest of Nigerians.

In a tweet, he wrote: “I congratulate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on his election as the next President of Nigeria.
“As the presidential election comes to an end, I urge other contestants, especially Atiku Abubakar to accept the outcome in the overall interest of our country. There will always be another day.”
Tinubu was proclaimed the winner of Saturday’s presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Tinubu received 8,794,726 votes, while Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Atiku Abubakar received 6,984,520 votes.
With 6,101,533 votes, Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) finished third.
