‘I’ll Always Support You’ – AY Makes Lifetime Commitment To Peter Obi

Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, a Nigerian comedian and actor, has responded to the defeat of Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi in the recently concluded 2023 election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, as the president-elect in the early hours of Wednesday, March 1.

The former Lagos State governor won 8,805,420 votes to overcome his opponents, Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the tight race.

AY Makun Blasts Nigerian Leaders, Says He’s Disappointed

AY responded on his Instagram page, saying he is proud of Peter Obi for instilling courage, ambition, and dreams for a better Nigeria among many Nigerians.

He asked the former governor of Anambra State to be true to his intentions for Nigeria, saying he would not abandon his support for him.

He wrote: “From the very day you honoured my open invitation to speak with Nigerians concerning the 2023 elections, I became proud of you and what you represent.

“Till this very minute, you still make a lot of people feel so proud of your courage, handwork, ambition, and plans for a better Nigeria. Continue to be honest with your genuine intentions for our country, Nigeria.

“No matter what you do in your life. Just know that i will always be supporting you.”
