A 31-year-old Toronto man is facing 96 charges in connection with the sexual assault and abuse of juveniles he targeted using social media platforms, Canadian police said Wednesday, adding that they believe there are more victims.

Daniel Langdon, who has been charged with 39 counts of sexual assault, is also suspected of creating and having child pornography, according to Toronto police.

There are “many victims ranging in age from seven to 17,” and the alleged offences occurred between April 2021 and February of this year, according to detective Vijay Shetty.

The victims, who lived in various parts of Ontario, Canada’s most populous province, were thought to have been targeted via online apps such as Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter.

Langdon, who was described as very active on social media, “utilized several usernames and email addresses on various social media platforms and in some cases altered his image to appear younger,” Shetty said.

During a search of Langdon’s home, police found child pornography and evidence indicating that Langdon had sexually assaulted a seven-year-old child at a Toronto park.

The suspect had already been charged with possessing child pornography as far back as 2016, and was barred from visiting public parks or having contact with anyone under the age of 16.

Langdon was arrested on February 7, and has since been detained.
