According to the Department of State Services, it has established social media handles to increase public and stakeholder engagement in its operations.
Dr Peter Afunanya, DSS Public Relations Officer, stated this in an Abuja statement on Monday.
He mentioned Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram as social media channels.
“Before now, the Service has not owned or operated these handles” (before). Its decision to start using them on March 6 is intended to increase public and stakeholder participation.
“The public should be guided and should be aware that any such handles before were/are false,” he stated.
