Roosevelt Ogbonna, the managing director of Access Bank, has been nominated to the Presidential High-Level Advisory Council on Assistance to Women and Girls by President Muhammadu Buhari in appreciation of the bank’s commitment to women’s empowerment via access to appropriate financing and literacy.

Since introducing the “W” Program in 2014, Access Bank has attempted to boost the number of previously underrepresented female entrepreneurs in Nigeria. The “W” project is a one-stop shop for all Access Bank’s women empowerment services in addition to financial inclusion and emancipation.
