The Independent National Election Commission has removed Ado Doguwa’s name from the list of elected House of Representatives members. Doguwa is the majority leader of the chamber.
Doguwa, an APC member, was previously proclaimed the victor of the election in the Doguwa/Tudunwada constituency on February 25 by INEC.

He won 39,732 votes, defeating Yushau Salisu Abdullahi of the New Nigeria People’s Party, who received 34,798.
Doguwa was detained, according to ANAEDOONLINE.NG, because of his alleged involvement in the recent general election-related killings of several persons and the burning of the NNP secretariat.
