Victor Osimhen, a Nigerian international and Napoli striker, has been voted the Best Foreign Athlete in Italy for 2022.
Victor Osimhen earned an award from the Foreign Press in Italy after an amazing year in 2022.
Since the beginning of the year, the Super Eagles star has been unstoppable in front of goal, particularly for his club side, Napoli.
Osimhen scored 18 goals and provided five assists in 32 games, including 14 in 27 league matches, during the 2021-2022 season.

Osimhen scored seven of his 14 league goals in the second half of the season.
This season, the 24-year-old Nigerian international has continued in the same fashion, scoring two goals in four Champions League games and 19 league goals in 21 games.
Despite missing a month of play owing to fitness difficulties, Osimhen scored 10 goals in the first half of the 2022-23 season, nine of which came in Italy’s top league.
He has now been recognized for his outstanding exploits by the Italian foreign press, which has named him the country’s finest foreign athlete for 2022.
On Monday, March 6, Osimhen revealed the achievement on his verified Instagram page by posting a photo of himself with the caption: “Amazing Feeling To Be Awarded The 2022 Best Foreign Athlete In Italy, Thank Y’all For Your Support, GOD Is The Greatest”.
