Mr Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Labour Party’s Governorship candidate, has pledged that political thugs threatening to harm Labour Party supporters in the upcoming election will be met with resistance.
Rhodes-Vivour stated on Channels Television on Thursday that he is actively working on ways to ensure that electors who would be voting on March 18 are secure.
The LP candidate claimed that the administration of the All Progressives Congress, APC, had empowered more thugs and touts across the state.
He said, “My focus now is on security and ensuring that people come out to vote and they are not intimidated or harassed because any form of intimidation or harassment will be met with resistance. It’s just that simple.
“This government has run unaccountably for over two decades. They’ve empowered agberos, touts and thugs with so much violence. And they have not been brought to book.”
