Rev Fr Kelvin Ugwu, a Nigerian Catholic missionary priest living in Gambia, has characterized Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi as a true manifestation of Christian ideals.
He emphasized that the LP presidential candidate’s attitude to the challenges of the recently ended presidential election has made him a role model for many Nigerians.
The cleric, who is a staunch supporter of the LP candidate, stated on his official Facebook page that Obi has exemplified the teachings of the Holy Bible via his deeds and moves.

Obi’s attitude to critics and criticisms, according to Fr Kelvin, epitomizes the Christian faith.
These qualities, according to the priest, make him very proud of the LP flag bearer.
He said, “Peter Obi is a perfect example of a man in public life who exemplifies and embodies the Christian and biblical teachings in his actions, material possessions, response to those against him, and faith that does not remove the place of hard work, strategic planning, justice, and prudence. As a priest, I am personally proud of him.
“He is someone I can confidently cite as an example and a role model to those who are looking for one who is truly a Christian at heart and in action and even more, a Catholic. May God bless him and protect him from all evil”.
