Olajide Adediran, better known as Jandor, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Lagos State, has pledged to win the March 18, 2023 governorship election.

Adediran stated on Arise TV on Wednesday that he would defeat Labour Party (LP) candidate Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour.

He also asserted that Rhodes-Vivour will not be able to win Lagos State like the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

According to Adediran, Obi won in Lagos because PDP members voted for him; however, he stated that PDP members would vote for him (Adediran) on Saturday.

Adediran further stated that many Nigerians in the Diaspora came to vote for Obi, but had already returned to their respective foreign countries.

He said, “Peter Obi won in Lagos and that’s because they said this is our own and we would vote for him. Obi won because most of our members in the PDP voted for him based on ethnicity and religion.

“If you look at the Igbo-dominated markets like Ojo, Amuwo, Ajeromi and parts of Oshodi-Isolo, the Labour Party and Obi won because of ethnicity that we are going to vote our own.”

The PDP governorship candidate boasted that he is more popular than Rhodes-Vivour.
