In the midst of the debate surrounding his state of origin, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate in Lagos State, has maintained for the umpteenth time that he is a Lagosian.

According to Newsmen, Rhodes-Vivour stated during an interview with Nigerian comedian AY that he is more Lagosian than the existing governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who he claims is from Ijebu, Ogun State.

According to the LP candidate, it is impossible to discuss issues in Lagos State without addressing his family.

Rhodes Vivour also stated that the second judge ever appointed in Nigeria was from his family, and that his family rented Nigeria’s first passport office.

Meanwhile, Rhodes-Vivour has responded to accusations that his campaign is being backed by godfathers.

The LP Governorship candidate declared that he does not have a godfather supporting him.

He said this in response to assertions made on Tuesday by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, commonly known as Jandor, claiming his LP rival is sponsored by godfathers such as Chief Bode George.
